The Pink Painter offers several different options of quality of paint in our quotes to meet the needs of our customers. Why would we do that you ask? It is because there is a significant difference in paint quality and the cost that is associated with it.
All companies have a low cost, low grade contractor paint. The name of the company on your can does not necessarily reflect the quality of the paint you are getting. It is important to understand that just because it says “Insert high end paint company name” doesn’t mean you are getting good quality. All companies have varying qualities of paint to suit the needs of their consumers.
At The Pink Painter, we offer a good, better and best option for your needs. All of the options are washable. The last two are washable and scrub-able. The most expensive paint we offer has mold inhibitors in it as well as being washable and scrub-able. It is excellent for high moisture areas.
If you have washed a wall and the paint has come off on your cloth, it is most likely a contractor grade paint. This paint is used so that it is inexpensive and it gets the job done. It is not meant to last.
That is why we start with a washable paint and go up from there. That way, the paint is going to last and it won’t wear off when you wipe it down.
Why would you use a lower grade paint? If you have a very tight budget, you have a very quiet household or you plan on painting it several times every year then it might be an option for you.
Why would you upgrade to a higher quality paint? If you want to be able to wash your walls and not have it come off then it would be a good idea to upgrade. If you have a high moisture area in your home such as a bathroom or closed in kitchen, it would be advised to use a paint with a mold inhibitor in it. If you have a high traffic area such as a mudroom or a hallway, a higher quality paint in those areas will allow you to scrub the walls if they become dirty.
At The Pink Painter, we try to educate you on all of the options available to you so that you can make the right decision for your needs. There are a lot of options out there. Let us help you navigate the world of paint available to you.
